As part of Rhodes Edition’s presentation at this year’s London Original Print Fair, we are delighted to announce the release of Paradise, a brand new limited edition by leading contemporary artist Nick Smith.

On Canson Rag Photographique 310 gsm Paper
Signed, Numbered and Dated by The Artist in Pencil
with The Artist’s and RHODES Editions blindstamps
Developed from Smith’s ongoing exploration of swimming pools, first introduced in 2025 at Untitled Art Miami Beach, the series seeks to capture the bright, romantic and joyful atmosphere surrounding pools and the glamorous worlds that form around them.
At the centre of Paradise, the inflatable flamingo becomes a playful symbol of leisure and escape: bold, nostalgic and instantly familiar. Even without the pool itself in view, the work evokes the feeling of heat, laughter and long afternoons spent in the sun.
“The text extends my Pool Diaries series, quietly following an inflatable flamingo through a single day beside the pool. With restrained observation and subtle humour, it traces the toy’s awkward inflation, tentative balance, periods of drifting neglect, and gentle deflation, while the pool remains elegantly indifferent. The prose elevates a simple plastic object into a tender meditation on impermanence, precarious balance, and the quiet dignity of everyday things.”
The edition will launch in person at the London Original Print Fair, on our stand S13.
The fair runs from 14-17 May, and we are delighted to offer our collectors free tickets.
