New Print Release with Nick Smith

The Diptych, Alba and Vesper, will be released at the end of March

Nick Smith returns to RHODES Editions with his newest release, the diptych Alba and Vesper. These limited editions follow the success of his sell-out releases, including The Great Fish Moved Silently (2025), After Hours (2025), and Bloom (2024).

Alba and Vesper will be released on 26th March. Join the RHODES Editions mailing list to stay up to date.

Alba presents a front-facing reclining figure, accompanied by a text that traces the moment the body finally lies down and releases the day. It reflects on openness, presence, and being received... the bed as a surface that meets the body without demand.

Vesper shows the same figure turned away. Its accompanying text shifts inward, focusing on settling, withdrawal, and rest. Here, the bed becomes a place of keeping, holding the body once attention fades and effort dissolves.

Together, the works form an ode to the bed as a quiet but essential architecture of daily life... a place where the body is first met, then kept. Both prints are giclée, with Smith's classic screenprinted gloss on top. Not only does this provide added texture, but the gloss itself is lightly marzipan scented, connecting all Smith's prints through this sensory detail.

Alba and Vesper will be available to purchase on 26th March. Join the RHODES Editions mailing list to be the first to be notified of the release.
