After the success of her first sell-out release, Hamer and RHODES Editions have collaborated on a new print. The limited edition is being released to coincide with the group exhibition Lore, in which Hamer has multiple new works.
Hemispheres Above and Within, in Lore, is the image that this new print edition is based on. While the original has sold out, the print edition is a great opportunity to collect Hamer's work, especially as her 2024 edition was quick to sell out after its release.
The upcoming release is in Hamer’s classic style, featuring an anonymous figure, framed by green flora and in front of a deep blue background, on which four suns are shining in gold leaf.

All effort has been put into ensuring the texture of the original is replicated in the print. This includes the gold leaf on the suns, some featuring the artist’s scratches, removing the leaf from the canvas. This has been translated in the edition: along with the gold leaf, adding depth and luxury to the work, it is only applied exactly where she has let it remain in the original artwork.
The print is also large; at 60 x 60 cm, it is essential to have the highest quality colour and accuracy. For this edition, we have chosen Archival Pigment Printing, which provides the largest scope of colours when printing. The colours Hamer uses are inspired by her time spent in her childhood in the Mediterranean, making the hues saturated and warm, and Archival Pigment Printing as the best way to translate this vibrant palette into a print edition.
Hamer’s limited edition will be released on 23rd October on the RHODES Editions website. To be notified when it goes live, please join the mailing list via the website link.
