• Brankovic's practice is informed by a long-standing engagement with material processes, contemporary culture and spatial perception

Benny Brankovic (b. 1974, Silkeborg, Denmark) is a Copenhagen-based visual artist and multidisciplinary creator with Serbian roots. His practice moves between painting, sculpture, ceramics and large-scale installation, informed by a long-standing engagement with material processes, contemporary culture and spatial perception.

Brankovic’s work sit on the edge of figuration and abstraction – the two tied together through his vibrant colour palette and unique style. The colour choices reflect his emotions, with the artist translating his feelings and experiences into paintings and ceramics, both through the palettes and the shapes he creates.

His works are simultaneously vibrant and restrained, combining bold colour, layered surfaces and a tactile sensibility with a subtle and intuitive approach to form. Through an ongoing dialogue between the physical object and its surrounding space, Brankovic explores how personal and collective histories are embedded in materials and gestures.

In 2025 he presented the duo exhibition Reflected Shadows at the Danish Cultural Center, 798 Art District, Beijing, and completed a residency at Galleria Spazio21, Reggio Emilia, Italy, and recent solo exhibitions include Read My Back (Albert Contemporary, 2024), Broken Flowers (Outpost, Copenhagen, 2023) and Sacro Profano (Inter.pblc, Copenhagen, 2023).

Alongside his exhibition practice, he is the founder and Creative Director of the platform and brand Le Fix, through which he has realised collaborations with partners including Star Wars / Disney, Clarks, Umbro and H.C. Andersen’s House & Museum, presented at Dover Street Market.
