Coming Soon David Walker 'Half A World Passed Me By' / Eelus Extended

Our current exhibition 'Dance Boldly Through The Storm' by Eelus has now been extended by two weeks.

You now have until Saturday 11th November to view the captivating new collection of orginal spray-painted works on canvas, paper, layered-wood and bronze sculpture.

“I’ve taken a darker turn with this body of work as I wanted to pursue the mysterious hidden layers of the present tech-driven world, orchestrated by the elite few puppeteering the strings. The show explores the ability to get tangled in the futility of daily routine, blinding us from the passions to be enjoyed from life.” - Eelus

'HALF A WORLD PASSED ME BY' - David Walker - November 2017

We are also pleased to annouce that our forthcoming exhibition and final solo show for 2017 will be the return of David Walker with 'Half A World Passed Me By', coming this November.

'Half A World Passed Me By' will be made up of over 20 new works, featuring male and female portraits, figurate paintings, form and flora and poetic texts. It will be Walker's first UK exhibition since his 2014 sell out 'A Blank Canvas is a White Flag', which was held by the gallery off-site in Shoreditch.

Featuring several ‘firsts’ for the artist predominately known for his large-scale female portraits, Half A World Passed Me By includes works of both female and male sitters.

The show sees the introduction of brushes, acrylics and new techniques for Walker, whose previous works were made exclusively freehand with spray paint. On his new approach, Walker commented: “Although the spray paint medium is still present in this new body of work, I feel using new approaches and materials has allowed me a fresh dexterity and an opportunity to mature as a painter.”
