Shoplifting: Lucy Sparrow

4 - 26 November 2016

Lucy Sparrow

4 November 2016 - 26 November 2016

Our  exhibition Shoplifting by Lucy Sparrow looked at themes of larceny, including the most frequently robbed items in the UK and the types of people who lift them. It was the artist’s debut gallery exhibition and presented an all-new body of soft sculptures.

Following on from Sparrow's critically acclaimed public installations 'Cornershop', 'The Warmongery' & 'Madame Roxy’s Erotic Emporium', visitors experienced rooms overflowing with temptation. Presented as a host of new pieces wall mounted in Perspex, and cabinets stuffed with handcrafted felt items, it was one of our best-attended exhibitions with huge amounts of press coverage.

The exhibition ran until 26th November. Follow this link to view the works available from the exhibition.
